Perform a hardware hard reset: With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back. Wait for exactly 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back directly into a wall outlet, then back into the printer. Open the ink access door. If the carriage does not move automatically, release it manually. Remove all cartridges and check the contacts. Clean the copper-colored contacts on both the cartridges and the carriage using a lint-free cloth and distilled water. Re-insert cartridges firmly until they snap into place, close the door, and run an alignment page.
